Zpacks Hexamid Pocket Tarp - is the lightest shaped tarp ever, perfect for those looking to shave off the last few grams from their base weight.
This ultralight tarp can be your primary shelter on an ultra-minimalist adventure or can be tucked away in a pocket in case you need it to sit out a surprise afternoon thunderstorm on day trips, or as an emergency shelter.
Super simple by design, the Hexamid Pocket Tarp provides shelter while keeping your base weight at a bare minimum.
MATERIAL: .55 oz/sqyd (blue and olive) or .75 oz/sqyd (spruce green) Standard Dyneema® Composite Fabric
Dyneema® Composite Fabric has several advantages over other materials:
- High strength to weight ratio – the material can handle high wind force and does not tear easily.
- Chemical free, PFC free
- Waterproof – there is no DWR or coating to worry about wearing out. The material will not absorb significant water that will add water weight to your pack
- Stretch-free – the tent will stay taut all night. Nylon material by comparison can stretch and sag, especially if it gets wet.
- Taped seams – our seams are sewn for strength then taped water tight. The tie outs have bonded reinforcements for high strength. No seam sealing will be necessary!
- Easily repairable – Any damage can easily be fixed in the field with our Dyneema® Composite Fabric Repair Tape.
- This tent is semi-transparent. In bright sunlight, a fuzzy silhouette of a person sitting inside the tent would be visible, but you cannot see any details. It has a suitable amount of privacy for changing clothes.
- In lower light (such as in the evening or at night), you cannot see through at all. Another nice thing about this material is that you can see the outlines of trees and your surroundings for a more immersed outdoor experience.

| Sets up with a single trekking pole adjusted to around 132 cm (52"). A tent pole can also be used if you don't carry a trekking pole. See our tent poles here. A trekking pole is not included but we have multiple Trekking Pole options to choose from. |
| Sets up with a minimum of 6 stakes but 10 stakes are recommended for a taught pitch in windy conditions. Stakes are not included but we have a variety of Ultralight Stakes to choose from. |
| Packs up tiny. The tarp is a loose fit in an included 13 cm x 15 cm (5" x 6") Small Stuff Sack. The Small Stuff Sack can also hold our optional Solo and Solo-Plus Groundsheets. |
| The Hexamid Pocket Tarp includes bright yellow 1.3mm Z-Line guy lines which save weight compared to the 2mm guy lines found on our standard shelters. The guy lines can be swapped out on any of our shelters if desired. |
| Overlapping storm doors allow for a small amount of airflow without the need for additional venting. There are no zippers on the doors that could potentially fail over time. |
| The storm doors can be opened or closed independently. Leave one or two doors open in nice weather for a breeze and great views. Close the upwind door to block cold wind, or close both for 360° rain protection. The overlapping doors are closed with custom made metal hooks. |
| A single closed door creates enough vestibule space for storing a wet backpack or muddy shoes. |
| Ample space for one person plus gear. The tarp is long enough for most people to fully stretch out their arms and legs, and tall enough to sit upright. You may need to shift your position to avoid rain spray depending on the wind direction. |
| Any condensation, which single wall shelters may experience, will run down the walls and out at the edges of the tarp, rather than onto the optional bathtub floor. Click here for tips to avoid condensation. |
| The inside of each corner has a loop for clipping on your groundsheet. Just below the peak, there is a loop on the inside for hanging a flashlight or stuff sack. |
| Dyneema® Composite Fabric can handle high wind loads, and as long as your stakes stay in the ground (use rocks if available) your tent will stay standing. DCF is not particularly noisy, however almost any tarp will make a little noise in the wind. Earplugs are not a bad idea for windy nights. |

This sunscreen body lotion is quite nice.
Style: Piña Colada
This sunscreen body lotion seems to work well. SPF 30 is the highest I could find with moisturizing capabilities. The smell is a bit overwhelming when you first put it on but it then goes away... so why the added scent. I wish it were SPF 50 and unscented. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

This is the best shampoo I’ve ever used.
No joke.

I used to spend $42 per bottle of Pureology Hydrate Sheer for years. One day I forgot to bring shampoo when I travelled and considering I am allergic to most shampoos since I was a child, I went to Whole Foods Market and bought this, as I already use the excellent Babo 50 SPF sunscreen.

That was over 4 years ago and I’ve bought this on repeat. Just bought 2 more bottles because I fear they stop making this.

The package is a little quirky. So I put it in a reusable pretty bottle in my shower.

My hair is ash blonde, baby fine and highlighted, about shoulder length. This shampoo is safe for daily use, it is lightly scented with a very faint mango/flower scent that is barely there after you rinse it.

I’ve experience no build up.
Before using this, when I was using Pureology, I had to use a clarifying shampoo once a week, otherwise my hair felt like greasy straws.

Since using this shampoo, I no longer have to do that. My hair is clean, soft, can’t understand the volume and shine after I use this.

My $200 per haircut hair stylist kept paying me compliments, thinking I’ve upped my hair routine with masks, heat protecting spray and all the nonsense. NOPE. I just wash with this shampoo.

Ps- sometimes I use Babo’s Baobab & Rosehip Conditioner in the light peachy pink container, sometimes I use another conditioner. Regardless, I’d pay twice as much for this shampoo.

Color-treated hair that looks fabulous!

I received a small sample of this shampoo as part of a Whole Foods 12 Days of Beauty holiday promotion. Normally those boxes are loaded with third-rate products the store is trying to promote. Well, not this time.
I was desperate to find a shampoo that would clean my color-treated but very, very fine hair without stripping the color or weighing it down with far too much moisture - bordering on greasy.
This shampoo has really been a game changer for me (going grey or shaving my head were considerations). It gently cleans my hair (and scalp) with no down-side results, and smells divine. My hair looks healthy & fluffy (no greasiness!) all day long and even into the following day. Added bonus - genuine shine.
I must add that I have pretty short hair so I honestly don’t need much to clean me up, although I do wash it daily. The amount in the carton is smaller than a lot of brands out there but, in my situation, I feel I am getting value for my money. My expensive dye-job looks awesome every single day - so you’ve gotta weigh your choices.
It’s working well for me and it just might be a solution for you but you won’t know unless you try it.
